About Us
Monsoon Ventures is a Singapore-based venture studio that commercialises science-led agtech to improve resilience for smallholder farmers in Southeast Asia.
About Monsoon Ventures
Our mission is to close the commercialisation gap in southeast Asian agtech, so that science-led innovations actually reach smallholder farmers and help build a more resilient regional food system.
Monsoon Ventures scouts and selects pioneering technical founders, recruits complementary commercial expertise, maps value chain pathways, invests capital and builds investment readiness. The studio will initially focus on six priority markets; Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore.
Monsoon Ventures has been founded by Beanstalk AgTech to help technical founders in Southeast Asia accelerate their path to scale and impact.

Our Founding Backers
Beanstalk AgTech is investing in and building Monsoon Ventures. We are delighted to have anchor funding from Enterprise Singapore and Rabo Foundation and thank these organisations for their support of Monsoon Ventures. The studio will deploy a blended finance model of philanthropic, public, and private capital that is suited to support both impact and commercial success outcomes.
Enterprise Singapore has provided foundational support for Monsoon Ventures, to develop targeted solutions that can address the region’s food resilience challenges. Their support is part of the agency’s goal to establish Singapore as the agrifood solutions hub for the region.
Rabo Foundation has provided catalytic capital for the establishment of Monsoon Ventures. This initiative contributes to Rabo Foundation’s work of scaling climate-resilient solutions that advance sustainable agriculture, strengthen food systems, and improve livelihoods.
About Beanstalk AgTech
Beanstalk AgTech is an innovation and commercialisation firm operating across Asia Pacific with offices in Singapore and Australia. For eight years, Beanstalk has worked across the APAC agri-food ecosystem at seed, scale and systems level to accelerate the technologies and ideas transforming food production. Beanstalk complements its regional presence with a proven track record in agtech venture building, supporting founders through commercialisation.
About Venture Studios
Venture capital primarily provides one thing: money. A venture studio provides something more complete: expertise, talent, networks, and capital working together. For founders who need more than a cheque, the combination of support from a venture studio transforms what's possible for their pathway.
Beanstalk designs and operates bespoke venture studio models for food and agricultural sectors. Our world-first Drought Venture Studio helped innovators raise over AU$22m capital and bring 15 agtech products and services to market and counting.
Monsoon Ventures is a wholly owned subsidiary of Beanstalk.
VENTURES WE’VE SUPPORTED
"If we hadn’t joined the Beanstalk studio we would have been lost quite frankly. Agriculture isn’t an industry that you can come into and change overnight, it’s about respecting the industry players and working with them. Beanstalk really emphasised that, and working with them has given us insight and understanding of what we are building.
— Sam Rogers, Founder, Brumby
"We came into the Drought Venture Studio a company with a cool technology; but now we’re confident we’ve got a solution the industry really needs — and we’re having conversations with the right people to help get it to them.”
— Bec Hopper, Co-founder, resonAg
"After 20 years as an academic, Beanstalk gave me the confidence to finally commercialise my product and allowed me to secure IP rights to my venture-and that is absolutely invaluable."
— Dr Auriol Purdie, Co-founder, SureStock
